Shane sinks deeper into the chair he can't quite let himself fall asleep in. There had been a moment, hours ago now, where he had dragged himself out of her room, across the parking lot, and into his truck. He hadn't managed to make it any further. Every step had felt wrong, pulling against the tugging sensation hidden beneath his ribcage.
He glances down at his watch, 2:37am. Shane winces, stretching out against the hard plastic.
