Summary
After his career and relationship collapse into shambles, Elliott takes a second chance at life by moving to a quiet seaside town to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a novelist. Now, a year on, his solitary routine has been interrupted by the arrival of an ambitious young woman hellbent on revitalizing her grandfather's farm. Dealing with this would be a lot easier if he wasn't also inexorably attracted to her, despite his best efforts.
-tl;dr: Elliott's down horrendous for the farmer and refuses to do anything constructive about it for ??? chapters; read at your own risk

Summary
As far as Flint could see, he had three options. The first was to lie in bed and stare at the ceiling until the noise stopped and he could go back to sleep. The second was to simply find another apartment building to live in. The third option, looking more appealing by the second, was to just go kill whoever's smoke alarm was going off in the middle of the night for the third time this week.
Flint closed his eyes and counted, very slowly, to ten. “Right,” he said when the alarm didn’t cease its complaints, “That’s it, then.”

Summary
To Katherine, the valley was an exile. Forced out of her job at Joja, she had no interest in reviving the farm - she was only concerned with clearing her name.
That wasn't what happened.
To Elliott, the valley was a final blank page, the perfect rewrite to escape his childhood. He was happy. He was writing. He didn't think he was missing anything.
He might've be right.Inspired by a conversation with a friend who said Elliott's actions are only excusable if you accept that he grew up in a reclusive religious sect. Which definitely shouldn't have spawned 100k, but here we are :shrug:

Summary
Pre-Martinaise, Harry had just been dumped by Jean after an ill-advised and toxic affair of six months. Now, as Harry returns to life in Jamrock, Jean is tasked with explaining to his partner what happened between them and who they are to each other — all while reconstituting Harry's task force under the leadership of the 41st's newest lieutenant, Kim.
Kim, Jean and Harry head back to Martinaise after tensions flare between the Union and the RCM, and the three of them work to subvert corporate and Coalition interference in the region while Jean and Harry rediscover their feelings for each other.
