“Caleb.“ Zayne spoke in his quiet, firm tone Sylus was used to hearing when he took work calls. “Give me your arm.” Zayne said, his tone measured, clipped.
In the cold silence that hung in the air, Sylus replayed Rafayel’s words in his mind: oh, you’re in big trouble, puppy.
(Caleb got sick; Caleb is also not very good at being sick. His geges care for him, anyway.
