On Erid, it had taken a long time for Simone and Rocky to warm up to eachother. Shortly after Grace and Simone start a relasionship however, Grace suggests that Rocky try to offer some sort of peace offering to her, hoping to smooth over whatever tension they might still have with eachother. That was how Rocky came up with the bright idea of designing a prosthesis for Simone, soon gifting her the new xenonite arm. Although functional, both Grace and Simone can't help but notice Rocky may of had a few minor discrepencies when it came down to the specific anatomy of the human hand.

Even after they let him out of quarantine, he doesn't talk much, and Grace keeps a cordial but distant relationship with him--until he gets sick with some mystery illness and Grace gets tasked with helping him recover, because surely he knows what to do. (Spoiler alert: he doesn't. But he figures it out.)
