He's not going to deny it. The man is beautiful, especially under the moonlight like that. His loose, long hair flowing freely behind his back. He's pale—sickly pale that it rivals Rosaria's, but Varka thought that it was fitting since, technically, he's already dead.
But what caught his attention the most was his dead, pupil-less golden eyes, the very same eyes watching him right now.
His eyes… it looks frosted.

Teyvat is in an era of destruction, an apocalypse, as humanity likes to call it, that started 11 years ago. Varka and his expeditionary team went on a 5-year-long expedition, searching for clues and traces of the famed doctor who is the prime suspect of kick-starting the apocalypse, and in the process, discovered—or rather, met a being that should have been long dead centuries ago. A being, as Lohen likes to call it, a newborn deity that the snow-loving folks in the north like to curse on.

Varka let out a shaky breath.
He looked at Flins' face again, searching for anything that might indicate the fae's life, even if his face was covered in blood and his eyes devoid of life. He knew it was futile, that there was no rekindling a snuffed-out flame, but he still tried—even if Lauma confirmed the death of the fae. Even if the Traveler explained what happened in a small, broken voice. Even if Columbina guided Varka's shaking hand to cover Flins' lifeless eyes, closing them down.
He swore he heard his heart crack.
OR: something something flins not surviving dottore's attack last minute and he died thinking of varka, wishing to turn back time before the battle to tell him ily and varka grieving him as he lived the rest of his life

He stiffened at the familiar voice he had just heard, slowly lifting his head, and his heart started to beat faster. There stood at the end of the cliff, the very person he had been cursing inside his head for the betrayal and pain he had just inflicted on Sunoo. In all his glory, Sunghoon looked down at them with a manic smile, his face smeared with blood he was sure was not his own. Sunoo feels sick to his stomach.
"I was actually hoping that you were. It would be a shame to cut our story short right here, you know?"

To say that Jongho was worried would be an understatement.
See, a certain person forgot a shit ton of things that involve basically everything that a normal, healthy person would do in their everyday life. That includes drinking water, sleeping, going outside, stretching, eating decent and real food three times a day, sleeping, taking a proper bath, talking with a real person, and did he say sleeping? This person only got a full 40-minute nap max and he would get up, sit in front of their laptop and their fingers would never rest for the rest of the day.
That certain person who seems to have a horrible lifestyle is named Kang Yeosang.

Yeosang knew that it would never be the same again. He knew that he’s not the one in their memories, the boy who laughed and ran with them. He’s not the Yeosang they knew and lost and he will never be. He’s not the one who listened to Jongho’s story, who embraced Mingi and assured him that everything would be okay. He’s not the Yeosang who’s heart fluttered whenever Jongho looked at his way and made him feel safe.
It doesn’t matter to Jongho. It doesn’t matter whether he forgot their times when they were just nothing but teenagers—trying to navigate their lives and depending on each other to keep themselves afloat. He’s here now, Yeosang is here now. He can just make Yeosang experience the good times again, introduce himself again, tell his story all over again. Make him feel special and safe again. No matter how long it takes.
He may not be the Yeosang he made promises with, but it’s okay. He won’t forget for both of their sakes. They can just start all over again.
