It’s supposed to be an easy, if annoying, mission - escort some senators to a planet for relief aid and a few photo-ops. It leads to pirates, kidnappings, and infiltrating Count Dooku’s palace on Serenno. It leads to the end of the war and the start of a relationship Cody never knew he could want, let alone have.

A wonderful AU in which pretty much all the Jedi Order fall. This is one of those stories that is crack, but at the same time extremely moving and poignant. The author is clearly a genius.
Things that stuck in my head last time I read this:
* Another story with a moveable Temple
* This is the one where Anakin has parasitic vines in his mindscape representative of some of the damage Palpatine had done to him -

Summary
Anakin has a weird feeling in his stomach as he walks away from the Chancellor’s office.
Who would have thought that Chancellor Palpatine would be a student of the Sith? Only to know how to keep the Republic safe from them, of course. All those priceless artifacts and holocrons that he’s collected to keep safe, hidden in his private rooms.
It’s a good thing that he isn’t Force-sensitive, Anakin thinks with a small laugh, because the energy coming from all those things would have driven the poor man mad in a day. He only spent maybe twenty minutes in the room, just long enough to look at the piece the Chancellor thought might be of use to him, and his head was still spinning.

Ben could only sigh and raise a distasteful eyebrow at the cross shaped, red lightsaber he was given. Down the line other students were also handling their new weapons and robes with a raised eyebrow here and quizzical expression there.
"Really, uncle?"
"Really. I don't want to compete with the local Jedi population."
Why did Jedi politics and time travel have to be so difficult?

In which Luke and his fledgling new Order are thrown back in time and/or to another universe, and decide they have to pose as Sith because the Jedi won't accept them.
Not particularly Jedi-friendly.Read to Ch 16
Starts out wildly cracky and hilarious, acquires a plot quickly.
Appears to owe a lot to OT-era Legends (the older books etc) so not necessarily very clear if you're more focused on PT-era Legends. -

Yoda grumbles under his breath and steps onto the lift as it chimes its greeting. “Aware I am, that the root of the problem that may be.”
Qui-Gon ponders the elder Jedi’s words as they descend the tower, deciding to ask his grandmaster to explain further, but the words die in his throat as the doors slide open to full pandemonium.

“The Red Hood has been good for Gotham,” Robin continued. “Crime in Park Row decreased by sixty one percent almost as soon as you showed up, and that’s even taking into account all the crime you commit. Drug overdoses have decreased by twenty two percent in adults and seventy nine percent in minors. Homeless minors are ninety two percent less likely to—”
“Kid,” Jason interrupted. “Enough statistics. What the hell is this about?”
Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.
(Or: Batman and Nightwing mysteriously disappear before Red Hood has even started antagonising them, Robin is desperate, Gotham needs Batman, and Red Hood is Batman-Shaped.)

Summary: in which Batman and Nightwing go missing shortly after the Red Hood returns to Gotham, but Gotham still needs a Batman. As far as Tim Drake is concerned, Red Hood is Batman-Shaped and needs to listen to his recruitment pitch.
(This one is part of a series of standalone Jason Todd stories with a finale that draws from all of them; I enjoyed the whole series.) -

The Queen Susan in Tashbaan, Part 2 of The Stone Gryphon (174583 words) by rthstewart
Fandom: Chronicles of Narnia - C. S. Lewis
Series: Part 2 of The Stone Gryphon
Summary: Queen Susan and Lord Peridan of the Gryphon Aerial Corps aid the British war effort in 1942 America – a dodgy tale of espionage, seduction and garden insectivores.I love this fic so much. rthstewart has done a huge amount of Narnia worldbuilding which shows through in all her stories; I like The Stone Gryphon series as a whole, which tells the stories of the Pevensies in England as they all struggle with the problem of how to navigate the work you feel you're called to do when you're in wartime England and the world still thinks you're a child. (It also, eventually, brilliantly handles The Problem of Susan in a way that finally makes sense.) Of all the parts in the series - and they're all great - The Queen Susan in Tashbaan is my favourite for the plot, the intrigue, and most of all for Susan herself.
Worth noting though that in the entire Stone Gryphon series, the writer is building on her Narnia worldbuilding done in previous series. I read The Stone Gryphon first and it didn't bother me, but if the references bother you you might want to read her other Narnian-set series first. They're also worth it.

Agent Afloat Atlantis (48793 words) by Mhalachai
Fandom: Stargate Atlantis, NCIS
Summary: Ziva's new assignment certainly isn't what she expected.Divergent from NCIS after Season 5, and divergent from SGA at... some point? This one's one of my favourite crossovers, with a really smooth integration of the two canons (which work well together anyway), some fun procedural details, and a great eye for character. I'm always a sucker for crossovers where the Cool Kids from one canon get to find out the secrets of the other canon, and this one delivers in spades.
(Crossover familiarity required: if you're familiar with NCIS around Season 3-5 and you've got Stargate familiarity at Fandom Osmosis levels you should know what you need to know to enjoy it, I think.)

Summary
There was one night where I was working on what would become A Howling In the Factory Yard in one window and talking with ivorygates in the other window about what would eventually become the Cammieverse in AIM, and I uttered the fateful words "You know, this is causing some interesting cognitive dissonance, because JD's over here in the other window all 'hey, I don't fucking care if Mitchell is a girl, he's still mine.'"
So, this is an AU mashup of two AUs: the one in which Cameron Mitchell was more injured in his 302 crash than he was in canon, and the one where Cam's a woman. It's sort of our take on the "we're not gay, we just love each other" trope. Us being us, it did not come out in the least bit like what you'd expect.

Summary: this is an AU mashup of two AUs: the one in which Cameron Mitchell was more injured in his 302 crash than he was in canon, and the one where Cam's a woman. It's sort of our take on the "we're not gay, we just love each other" trope. Us being us, it did not come out in the least bit like what you'd expect. For all that I love the cammieverse, I love the first half-a-dozen stories of mezzanine more. Cammie is still ferocious and smart and capable - and dealing with a shitty hand and some scary realities. Mezzanine has a lot of personal resonance for me, and I found it for the first time right when I needed it.
