He simply assumes Kaveh will handle it, like he always does.Until the night he doesn’t.
A broken vase.
A forgotten anniversary.

Summary
Kaveh has always believed that houses remember.
They remember grief, laughter, storms, and the people who leave pieces of themselves behind. Which is why Alhaitham’s house betrays him long before Kaveh ever confesses the truth.
For years, Kaveh has built a home out of shared routines, late-night arguments, and the dangerous comfort of being understood.
Then one drunken confession destroys everything.Heartbroken, Kaveh leaves Sumeru for Fontaine and spends a year trying to rebuild a life that no longer includes Alhaitham.
The house remembers.
Unfortunately, so do they.

Summary
“So the ‘princess has been rescued’ part is done, right? What comes next in the original story? A feast? A coronation? A convenient portal home?”
Alhaitham tilted his head slightly, eyes glinting with amusement as he recalled the opening pages he had read in the library. He crossed his arms, voice perfectly level.
“As far as I remember, after the princess is rescued from the tower and the immediate danger, the knight and the princess share a kiss. They did not?”
---
Kaveh gets sucked in a pocket dimension where he has to play as princess.

Summary
He really is beautiful.
Here lies Kaveh’s magnum opus, on the table he was created upon. Kaveh smooths a hand down his well-defined cheekbones. Long eyelashes, bold eyebrows, and a handsome nose, he truly is a sight to behold. The corners of Kaveh’s lips quirk up. He always considered himself something of an artist.
It takes some time to finally tear his eyes away from his creation and back to his tablet, where he was working on the final touches for his personality. He would be rational in all the ways Kaveh had been scorned for lacking. He would balance him out, challenge Kaveh, bring him to heights Kaveh would have never even known existed alone.
He would be beautiful, and he would be perfect.
Kaveh constructs an android. An exploration of companionship.

Summary
Kaveh can't keep doing this.
"Why," he asks, making sure his glare is particularly scathing, "did you order your soup, and I quote, 'without the broth?'"
"It's how I eat it while reading," Alhaitham replies, which — is frankly an insane thing to say. Like, generally.Or: Alhaitham orders increasingly ridiculous deliveries... and Kaveh, his Doridasher, is collateral damage.
