Ryoji's shoulders tensed, his expression shifting to that of mix, shock and guilt. "I’m sorry," he spoke quietly, his voice tinged with sorrow. "I never wished to burden you, my dearest."
Tears welled up in Ryoji's eyes, his fists clenching at his sides as he fought to contain his own turmoil. "I never wanted this," he choked out, his voice breaking with sorrow. "I never wanted any of this to happen."
