“We’re leaving early tomorrow,” Karlie replies, hugging herself.
“Oh, uh, I was going to suggest brunch tomorrow, but-,” she says and looks away for a second. “Do you- do you want to go to Cara’s party? She’s throwing it to celebrate the end of the US leg. Maybe we could go and, uh, catch up, I guess?”
“Catch up?” Karlie asks, a light chuckle hidden in her voice. She says it brightly, though, Taylor can almost hear hope in her tone.

This is a very slowly-paced teacher/student romance that stretches over multiple years, until Hermione isn't a student anymore. It's my most honest try at a story without dark backgrounds, trauma or abuse of any kind. Just two very human people who take a long time to find to one another. Lots of university politics and drama and familiar characters. Also, smut. But you’ll have to be patient to get there…
