Summary
Buck was waiting for the day that Eddie came clean about being a werewolf. The entire 118 pack had scented it on him during his first day but he hadn’t brought it up or taken Bobby up on his offer to join them for their full moon night in the mountains. As it turns out, Christopher was going to force his father’s hand because in the middle of Buck’s living room was a half-transformed and terrified child.
Or: The one where Buck takes care of the Diaz boys, especially when Christopher turns out to be a werewolf too.

Summary
“So we’re into dudes now?”
Eddie tries not to let the amusement show on his face as he watches this weird version of Buck size him up. It’s reminiscent of their first meeting. Buck had acted like a complete idiot (he’d thought it was because he was threatened, but years later Buck will now finally admit it was because he wanted to fuck Eddie so bad it made him stupid). He’s got that same bratty look and attitude now.
“We’ve always been into guys, you just haven’t realized it yet.” Buck (3.0? Or is it 4.0 now?) says. Eddie’s not sure what model they’ve upgraded to at this point, but that doesn’t matter. His Buck, current-Buck, husband-Buck is speaking.
“Are you gay?” 1.0—that’s what Eddie’s taken to calling him in his mind—asks, a disgruntled look on his face. He’s actually quite cute. Smaller and leaner than the Buck Eddie first met when he started at the 118, he kind of reminds Eddie of a puppy. “Because I’m sure I don’t have to tell you this,” he waggles his eyebrows obnoxiously. “I really like women.”
“Bi.” Buck (husband-Buck) corrects, he’s got his arms crossed over his chest, defensive.
or,
Buck 1.0 time travels to a future where he and Eddie are married—everyone is handling it well.

Summary
"What," Eddie spits, eyes darting from one to the other, metaphorical hackles rising on the back of his spine at the sheer nonchalance they seem to be displaying, as if they see Eddie’s doppelganger on a regular basis, “the ever loving fuck?”
Buck barks a loud laugh, head thrown back, carefree. The other Eddie merely smirks, like Eddie isn’t standing there unravelling at the seams.
“Buck fucks with crystals.” Older Eddie shrugs, looking so fond as he tilts his gaze to Buck.or

Summary
Buck thrusts his phone into Eddie’s hand, opened to their text thread, and—oh. It’s a picture that Ravi sent him that Eddie obviously sent to Buck immediately, because it was—actually, he doesn’t really know why he sent it to Buck. Ravi sends him random shit like that all the time, from memes to TikToks, and usually, Eddie just reacts to the messages with a laugh or a thumbs up and leaves it at that.
But Frank’s been telling him to express himself without words, since Eddie is, according to Frank, emotionally constipated sometimes, and so—he just sent it without thinking.
Eddie glances at the picture, mouth quirking a little in the corner.
“It’s a meme,” Eddie says, raising an eyebrow at Buck. “I know you know what that is. You’re the one who taught me what they were.”

Summary
"Eddie," Buck whispers; a single word, but still, his voice breaks on the enormity of it, and then he steps in closer and kisses Eddie. It's frantic and desperate, more of a crushing press of the lips than a kiss, but for a moment Eddie gives in to it, gives in to the need to forget about the fucking nightmare they're living in and seek solace in Buck’s arms, gives in to seven years of wanting as he snakes his arms around Buck’s back, pulling their bodies flush together as he deepens the kiss, chasing oblivion until -
Until he tastes the unmistakable salt of tears. Eddie hasn’t seen Buck cry all day, but he can taste it nonetheless, taste his grief , and it’s like a shock to the system, piercing through the haze that had settled over his mind at the feel of Buck’s lips against his. He breaks the kiss with a sudden gasp. "No," he whispers, his breathing harsh and ragged, like it’s killing him to say this. Because it is. "Not like this."

Eddie and Buck seek comfort in each other after the funeral.
