“I don’t know you,” Tim reminds him snarkily, and Superboy manages a groan that sounds like a verbal iteration of rolling ones’ eyes. “We’ve met like, twice. Forgive me if you’re not the first call I make when I want backup.”
“We’ve met three times, actually” Superboy counters cheerfully. That wretched housecat is curled up against his chest, purring away like it hadn’t just spent ten minutes trying to claw Tim’s eyes out of his skull. He glares at it.

Ice clenches his jaw like he’s so frustrated having to spell it out. “Mitchell. Stop it. I know. And it’s fine. It’s not the first workplace crush I’ve dealt with. But we both know this,” Ice gestures between them with a doubtful grimace. “It’s not healthy.”
Wait. What?
“Workplace…crush,” Maverick repeats, stuck on the words, mental gears turning in slow, rusty clicks as he plays back the conversation. Ice accused Maverick of being more interested in him than Amy. Maverick thought he meant as a rival, a sparring partner. But he meant romantically? That can’t be right.
“Stop it,” Ice says with a roll of his eyes like he thinks Maverick is messing with him. “There’s no point denying it. You like me.”
Maverick stares at him with his mouth agape, unable to formulate words. The struggling gears in his mind have ground to a halt.
“It’s really obvious, man,” Ice continues, tone softening. “You’re like a kid with puppy love. You’re always trying to get under my skin, get my attention. It’s flattering, in a way. But I’ll pass."
“You think I like you?”

Nadja nods to herself from her side of the tiny kitchen island. Guillermo doesn’t want to jinx anything, but he’s fairly certain she’s grown fond of him in the year they’ve lived together. They’re basically in the same situation, she was abandoned by her husband, and he was abandoned by, well.
Misery loves company, and Guillermo quite likes the life they’ve built, stuck together.
“Well, I had a VERY eventful night,” She peers over to check he’s finished his coffee, and switches out her full mug for his empty one. It’s unspoken things like this, Nadja asking him to make her a cup of coffee she physically can’t drink, just to eventually give it to him every night, that solidify his hunch about her fondness.
“I don’t really need to hear about all the sex you had-”
“I had a LOT of sex, Gizmo! Very enjoyable. I would tell you all about it, but I’m late for council.”
A year after the events of S3's finale, Guillermo and Nadja are living together in london, trying to move on. It's difficult.
