You finally put all your weight into a step and the wood under your feet groans and creaks. Blood stains your black tipped hands, legs bent in an inhuman way, and mold that runs up and down your torso, you must be quite a sight you think.

“Maybe.” The man chuckles and finishes his drink. “Well, enjoy the rest of your night, kid. This old man’s gotta sleep.”
“I mean, I could.” Jayce blurts out without thinking. “Like guys, I mean. I haven’t tried anything or thought about it much in a while.”
“Good luck figuring it out.” The man stands and turns to leave, but Jayce grabs him by the arm.
“Maybe… you could help?”
Jayce goes out drinking after being ditched by his best friend and lab partner and finds companionship in an older, strangely familiar man.

Jayce and Viktor end up post-canon in another dimension where their counterparts no longer exist. They seek shelter in Viktor's old flat and for the first time are alone with themselves and everything that has happened.
