Summary
Ike’s favourite colour was green.
It wasn’t as if Soren made it his business to know about people’s favourite colour specifically – no, not even Ike’s, despite what others might think – but upon discovering the fact accidentally, it had been hard to forget.
One might have expected it to be blue based on his choice of clothing, or even red to match his cape, but those assumptions had turned out to be wrong.
Ike’s favourite colour was green.
Green, the colour of the headband his father had gifted him. Green, the colour of the forests he spent the majority of his childhood in. Green, the eye colour of the woman who might as well have been their mother.
Green, the colour of a certain queen’s hair.
There hadn’t been much time to think about something as trivial as favourite colours during either of the two wars, but Soren couldn’t stop himself from getting just a little annoyed whenever it was brought up. Now, in peacetimes, as if purposely looking for something to be mad about, he seemed to be reminded of it frustratingly often.
