Stede’s staring into Ed’s eyes, his stomach a ball of nerves as he thinks frantically about what to do. Okay, Ed wants to treat him like a dog. And Ed wants him to stay quiet. Stede can do that. He can show Ed that he can listen. Rebuild their trust. Their friendship. Maybe more. Hopefully. If Ed’ll let him. Stede manages to nod, and Ed releases his chin.
“Good boy,” Ed tells him, leaning back. “Might have to do something about that if you keep trying, though, silly pup.”
Stede’s cheeks burn at that. He’s not a silly pup, but Ed’s voice is also fond for the first time all day.

Grace points at the five tentacles.
“So. Normally these are inside of you. But they have some length to them, if they’re able to reach outside of your body entirely like this. Do…? I mean, has any Eridian tried putting them into another like, Eridian, or…?”
Rocky squeaks, a rush of air from his vents in a short burst. Scandalized.
“Put inside!? No no no. Disgust! Grace think like pervert! No no no.”
“It was an innocent question! Humans put their penises in any hole that can fit! Even stuff that isn’t alive, like, food or—”
Another squeal, this time Rocky stands on three legs. His two limbs used currently for his arms wave erratically.
“Perverted! Perverted! Perverted! Grace disgust! All human species disgust!”
