And right they were, for a rising ire smoldered in her chassis. But when she turned her head, she saw B looking back at her with earnestness, tilting his head back and smiling at her upside down. Elita frowned and looked away.

Elita-One is called Elita-One for a reason. She is the best. And she's not bragging when she says that—she is the best. She's worked hard to be the best, to earn the title she deserves.
And now she stands at the right hand of the last Prime of Cybertron as they temper a war against a hostile alien invasion and civil unrest from the violent coup against the last (false) Prime of Cybertron, as well as the band of grudge-holding nightmare soldiers headed by their former friend (well, Orion—Optimus' former friend, he was really just Elita's former employee, which does slightly weird her out sometimes).

Optimus has watched Starscream, decepticon air commander and loyal (ish) second to the ruthless Megatron, die, approximately twenty times.
It's disturbing.
He doesn't like Starscream. Nobody likes Starscream. But Optimus doesn't enjoy seeing anyone pass away; it's the thing that constantly makes him hesitate to continue the war. If he were fighting for a lesser cause, he would have surrendered to end it and, in the process, end the continuous loss of life the fight cost.

Or, the one where Optimus gets stuck in a time loop that resets every time Starscream dies. A mech who remembers every time he's failed to save someone, and a seeker who is not only doomed to die, but is utterly insufferable.

Orion Pax looks at him. He looks at him with those clear, energon-blue optics; optics he’s been watching for as long as he’s known him. He knows it too, that this is no imposter—someone wearing the plating of Orion Pax, his colors, his spark. But he still feels that angry slithering something in his tanks, that balks at the other mech.
Orion Pax sighs. “I really don’t want to, Megatron,” he says bluntly.
Megatron swallows down a lump in his throat. “Oh,” he says faintly. “Alright.”
