Summary
The death of your sibling feels like having one of your vital organs ripped from you, and your body spends your entire life trying to recover. Regulus decides if he could trade an organ for Sirius back, he would choose his lungs. He hasn't been able to breathe since Sirius killed himself. He chooses not to dwell on the fact Sirius had never been the type of person to consider taking his own life. And that's why Regulus decides he's going to die too. But not before he writes it, writes their story and shoves it into the world by force.
His final year of sixth form, he won't be around to graduate. That is, of course, until his new English teacher decides to pick him up like a diamond in a pile of dirt and dust him off. Regulus is forced to live a little longer, when he realises James knew Sirius too. And they both think Sirius was killed.
Might as well make the most of life before he dies.

Summary
Regulus Black has two obsessions.
1) Hating his older brother’s best friend, James Potter. Has Regulus met the man before now? No. But he has deemed James Potter his mortal enemy since he was ten years old.
2) A certain voice actor by the pseudonym Jay, who makes “spicy” audios.
Regulus has always known the universe to have a sick sense of humour but he didn’t know it was this cruel. He’d recognize that voice anywhere. To Regulus’s shock and abject horror, James Potter is Jay, there’s no doubt about it.

Summary
James Potter has never failed a class.
Sure, he’s procrastinated a few essays and built most of his academic career on a combination of panic, charm, and questionable decision-making, but he’s never actually failed.
Then he finally takes the required introductory English course he’s been avoiding since freshman year.
Unfortunately, it’s taught by Professor Regulus Black.
Professor Black is young, intimidating, unfairly attractive, and, to James’s horror, an excellent teacher. Which would be manageable if James could spend more than thirty seconds in his classroom without forgetting how to think, speak, or take notes like a functioning human being.
As James’s grades plummet and his attempts at behaving normally grow increasingly pathetic, he finds himself spending more and more time in office hours with the one person he absolutely should not be developing a crush on.
Or:
James Potter had never failed a class before. Unfortunately, he’d also never had Professor Regulus Black.
