“Well, it’s like I’m always saying,” Minho says as he taps his keycard against the door’s reader. It beeps, a green dot appearing. “You’re the other half of my heart, Jisungie.”
OR —
Minho plans a trip with Jisung over Valentine's Day weekend, but there’s a mixup in the hotel’s system and now they have to spend four days in the Lovers’ Suite with only one heart-shaped bed and years worth of thinly veiled sexual tension.

Minho turned to look at him. His eyes weren't soft like he used to look at Jisung. It was narrowed, laced with anger, nothing Jisung is familiar to. "How did you come here?"
"I followed you...?"
Minho stared at him. "You gotta be jocking."

“No.” His eyes glitter with challenge.
Minho raises an eyebrow, the corner of his mouth twitching upward. “No?”
Jisung pouts, lower lip jutting out in a way he definitely knows is unfair. “Come on, hyung, I just got back from the gym! My legs are still trembling.”
Not trembling enough, if you’re here. “I don’t care, Han Jisung,” he deadpans. “Come here. Now.”
Jisung shakes his head, playful but stubborn. “You can’t make me.”
There is a pause. Just a second. Just long enough for Jisung to realize he’s said something very stupid.
or: Jisung twerks for his boyfriend during peak cat reel hours– and gets spanked on a very soft bed for it.

“Call it a deal,” Minho says, leaning casually on the bar, enjoying the easy flow of the conversation. “You can come to the bar after a bad date, and I’ll be the one to listen. One drink. One rant. I’ll mix something different for you every time.”
Because you’re different. And I’m interested. And I really, really want to see you again.
Jisung has a type: hopeless. From the guy who talks about his ex to the omegaverse influencer and the one who brings a ferret to dinner, every week is another romantic disaster. Enter Minho, the bartender who knows just how to turn bad dates into the perfect drinks.
It starts as a joke– one drink, one rant, every time. But somewhere between The Mansplainer and The Lovers, between doodled coasters and unspoken glances, Minho starts to notice the problem isn’t that Jisung can’t find the right guy.
It’s that Jisung keeps coming back to the bar.
or: Every bad date deserves a good drink– and Jisung deserves the bartender who makes it.

Summary
A sniffle.
Minho turns, confused, and catches Jisung wiping at his cheek.
“…Are you crying?” he asks, frowning.
Jisung blinks at him, glassy-eyed and a tiny bit miserable. He doesn’t even pretend to deny it this time. He lifts his head with the devastated honesty only the heartbroken and intoxicated can manage.
“Yes,” he admits simply. “I’m crying. Because I’m drunk.”
“Oh.” Minho blinks, then lets out a startled laugh. “Oh, no.”
or: Jisung is drunk and can't stop talking about Minho's voice– until he starts talking about love.

“Minho hyung mentioned he might stop by for a bit,” Felix said, biting his lip nervously and glancing at Jisung. “Sung, if you don't go you'll miss Minho hyung! You guys really hit it off at the cafe.”
Jisung groaned, flopping onto his stomach. “I don't think Minho likes me very much,” he confessed.
“What do you mean? Minho hyung is always talking about y–,” Hyunjin was silenced by a sharp elbow to the ribs and a glare from Felix. It didn’t go unnoticed by Jisung. It only confirmed Minho’s dislike of him more; his friends were just trying to spare his feelings.
“I dunno.” Jisung sighed. “He's always glaring at me. It's like he hates me.”
The pair of friends shared another knowing look between each other.
“Are you sure there isn't a different reason he would be glaring in your direction?” Felix asked, carefully.
“None that I can think of.” Jisung sighed sadly. He wished that they would just drop the topic already. He knew he wasn't likeable, so Minho's distaste wasn't exactly a shock.
Or; one sided enemies to lovers and Jisung finally realizing he deserves better.

He hadn’t lost in months, and he could feel Jisung’s eyes burning holes into him as the younger stared at him expectantly. Minho wished he could turn back time and make some friends that didn’t brew potions and cast spells on rocks. Maybe then he would have a better chance at keeping his undying love for his squirrelly best friend a secret.
