Summary
Dean and Sam Winchester are so tired of moving around. But when their dad, John, gets tired of trying and abandons them with their previously unknown "uncle" Bobby they're scared. They've never lived without John before, have no relationship with Bobby, and are in a completely new town with no idea if John will come back or if that would even be a good thing.
Castiel has a large family, some would say it's odd and his classmates have definitely called it (and him) worse. He goes to church every Sunday and dedicates most of his time outside school to his church and city community. His twin is his best, and honestly only, friend.
Then the Winchesters meet Castiel and things change. Being new and making friends is hard, even more so when you're considered "different." But maybe different isn't so bad, and maybe separate worlds won't collide but unify?Bookmarked by midge_x

Summary
Castiel hovers in the doorway of the den, aching. There’s an open bottle of whiskey and a cut-glass tumbler on the coffee table, alcohol long evaporated and a sticky ochre ring along the bottom. Beside it he can see a piece of paper, torn from a notepad and laid parallel to the glass. Tucked neatly under the table are Dean’s slippers. Carefully, Castiel leans over and peers down at the note. In Sam’s neat handwriting it reads:
Dean Winchester’s last drink, please do not remove
Castiel gets out of The Empty four years too late.

Summary
