Summary
Modern man Wei Ying would say that he's been surviving pretty well in the world of Path of the Lightbearer so far. The Sunshot Campaign is going as smoothly as expected...at least, until the titular Hanguang-jun gets blasted in the face with—well, you guessed it!
Lan Wangji is looking at him with an expression that Wei Wuxian has never seen before, in this life or the last. His golden eyes are the hue of melted honey, the lines of his usually solemn brows lax and a little weak. His thin lips are parted, tiny puffs of breath a breeze between rosy petals—well, wait.
Wait.
Wei Wuxian’s smart enough to realise that he doesn’t look dazed in a mortally wounded way, but dazed in a…Proud Immortal Demon Way!?
Lan Wangji looks at him with an ambiguous gaze, and whispers in a thready, raspy voice. “Wei Ying, I…”

Summary
There is a baby in Lan Wangji’s arms.
Small and wrinkled, probably not a newborn, but definitely a warm, squishy, baby. Who, like Lan Wangji, doesn’t make a sound as he’s cradled in white robes, naked as can be.
“Lan Zhan,” Wei Wuxian starts, a little hysterical, eyes darting wildly between the child and the statue that holds it. “Are you hiding babies in your sleeves now?”
In the Xuanwu cave, Lan Wangji's spiritual energy reacts enthusiastically to Wei Wuxian. By complete accident, the result is a pure form of dual cultivation, however brief. Wei Wuxian's core leaves something in Lan Wangji, an imprint of sorts, a gift by any other name.

Summary
Su She’s arrow hits Wei Wuxian in the back. The Xuanwu gets a few more lucky bites in. After Lan Wangji hums him to sleep, Wei Wuxian wakes up dazedly one more time.
Lost in thought, Wei Wuxian breathes out and whispers clumsily, “Ah, I can’t believe I’m going just like this…I haven’t even had my first kiss yet.”
Lan Wangji's breath remains steady, the deep rise and fall seeming distant in Wei Wuxian's blurry vision. The water drops pause for a while, then continue semi-rhythmically.
The silence is so long that Wei Wuxian is half-convinced that he’s hallucinated the whole conversation and begins to fade back into unconsciousness. He wishes to wake up just one more time, in case Lan Wangji sings to him once more.
Abruptly, the fingers on his forehead twitch and he hears a single syllable fall from Lan Wangji’s lips.
“…You?”
