With Sirius Black never sent to Azkaban and Remus Lupin not being left utterly alone, the Boy Who Lived is raised by his godfathers instead of his muggle Aunt and Uncle.
As much as these characters and universe belong to her I do not support J.K.R nor her transphobia. This is also an opportunity for me, as a trans individual, to reclaim this story and emphasize its message of love, diversity and acceptance away from the author's distorted vision of equality. Also English is not my first language. -

James ran faster than Remus ever thought a person could run and Andy wasn't far behind. He ran too, but his bones ached with every step, especially on the uneven terrain, he pushed back against pain, making Sirius the focal point of his mind.

Everyone knows that life is going to be complicated when they realise their great ambition in is to become an artist, whether that is a painter, a writer, a musician... but all of that becomes a secondary when they're also part of the LGBTQ+ community. The truth is: that's still a simplified version of reality.
Being 15, trying to bring success to a band, getting a passing grade in High School, being in love with your best friend and being queer is hard for anyone, but it gets worse when all of that happens in 1994.

Steve and Bucky have known each other for longer than the average lifetime, they fought in many wars and survived many battles, some within themselves and for one final time the face a powerful enemy.
When the adrenaline runs high and fear has a grip on everyone's heart, somethings clicks, giving these heroes something else to fight for.

Summary
Nick was taught by Marie to always do whats right despite the circumstances. But when his life gets more and more complicated and those lines are blurred, whats right doesn't quite fall into easy or legal anymore.
Especially when he has a werewolf best friend desperately trying to get him to stop breaking literally every social norm their society has. It doesn't help that those societal rules don't fit the changing world.
It also doesn't help that Nick is changing more and more by the day.
