    Summary

The age of the fae is slowly coming to an end in Sneznhnaya and Lord Kyrill had accepted this long ago. He already has plans for a quiet departure from both the court and his life, as he attends one last ball to say goodbye to it all. However, his plans fall apart completely when the other fae drag him to a secret auction with a prize rivaling anything they'd ever seen during the Belyi-Tsar's reign.
It's a living human being. The Lightkeeper from Nod-Krai had been dragged away from a battle and is now at the mercy of a pack of bloodthirsty fae. There's only one of them capable saving him, but will Lord Kyrill give up his wish of a quiet end just to guide one last soul home?

TLDR: Lord Kyrill buys a feisty human on the fae market. He vows to take him back to Nod-Krai like a gentleman, definitely not intending to fall in love in the process. Will his mission fail? Hmm, if only there was a weekly-updating series that could answer that question!

    Summary

Not for the first time, Illuga thinks there must be something wrong with him. Maybe he’s been possessed by the Wild Hunt. Maybe the kuuvahki is finally getting to him; one too many mandragoras, or something like that.

Either way, there has to be a reason. Why else would Illuga keep letting Lohen into his bed? Why else would Illuga allow Lohen to use his body again and again, leaving Illuga with bruised skin, aching bones, and a weary heart?

‘Friends with benefits’ is a phrase he’s heard before, and it makes sense. The life of a Lightkeeper can be cold and lonely, so it’s only natural to seek warmth and comfort from another. But Illuga never expected to find himself in such an arrangement, if what they have can even be called that. Lohen’s rough treatment offers no benefits, and they certainly aren’t friends. Illuga doesn’t even like him.

This can’t possibly be what Flins had in mind when he suggested that Illuga take up a new hobby.

PROCEEDINGS OF THE THIRD ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM ON NOD-KRAIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE
Presented by the Sumeru Akademiya Press, Department of Historical Ethnography
Volume XII, Issue 3—"The Lightkeepers: Myth, Memory, and the Long Night"

Selected papers, recovered correspondence, and transcribed artifacts presented at the Third Annual Symposium on Nod-Kraian Cultural Heritage, held at the Akademiya Grand Lecture Hall, Sumeru City. Compiled and edited by Dr. Vireshka Dastur, Chair of Northern Teyvatian Studies.

    Editor's Note:
The Lightkeepers of Nod-Krai remain one of the most enduring and least understood institutions in Teyvatian history.
This volume collects several papers and primary source materials presented at the third Annual Symposium on Nod-Kraian Cultural Heritage. Of particular interest is the ongoing scholarly debate surrounding "Ratnik Flins," whose historical existence remains hotly contented and whose relationship with the better-documented Starshyna Illuga Nikitovich continues to generate discussion in fields ranging from military history to folklore studies.

We trust our readers will find much to consider.
