"You're what?" Kleya's face is open, refuses to try to fill in the blanks. Kleya doesn't make assumptions, would rather gather facts.
"I'm—" Mon tries again, flails for her words. They had made so much sense in her head, "I'm—" a senator, too old, divorced. Everything sounds less real, more like an excuse when she tries it against her lips. "I'm me."
OR
Mon struggles with processing the idea that maybe, when it comes to sex, there are things she'd like to try. But the key to any healthy relationship is communication.
