They belonged together and it was ridiculous for anyone to have a nerve to even ask for a dance. It was only a matter of time before Ilya made his life a living hell, claming Shane in every way possible and maybe more, and then–
Except the man was still looking at him, expextantly, and Ilya wasn’t doing any of the things he should.

You can be happy for the rest of your life, Eddie.” Buck moves his hand from where it cradles Eddie’s head, to his pulse point where he holds his fingers to feel the thready beating, then cards them through Eddie’s hair again. “The rest of your long life, because we’re getting out of here. Together.”
“Together…” Eddie mumbles, smiling slightly, “Together would be nice.”
