“How are you feeling?” Dr. Jones asks.
Dani is so confused. Why hasn’t anyone asked the woman who she is and why she’s here in her room? Why hasn’t anyone called security? Who. The fuck. Is this woman?
There’s a long minute of silence. Dani just keeps staring at the woman who is staring back at her, completely frozen. The doctor keeps looking between them, waiting for an answer.
“She said her head hurts,” The woman finally breaks the silence, still looking straight at Dani, “A lot.” Another moment of silence. “And she doesn’t know who I am.”
