Summary
Mike searched his eyes. “Will, I’m right here. I’m here.”
“I know.” Will said, too quickly, as though he was compensating for something. He knew that Mike was with him, yet something was deeply, seriously wrong.
“I know.” He said again, quieter.
A beat. Will was breathing faster now, eyes focusing and unfocusing at what seemed like an uncomfortable speed. The air suddenly felt thicker. His eyes dialed in on the corner of Mike’s mouth.
“I can’t see you.”
Or:
The Mindflayer's death (and by extension, the Hive) left Will Byers without sight. As he tries to navigate this new existence, Mike wrestles with his identity and love for Will.

Summary
Three years after the Upside Down appeared to be defeated in an almost impossible battle, life seems normal. The core party is in their senior year, Will and Mike still haven’t done anything with their obvious feelings for each other, and the only issue is their dreams, well, nightmares.
Mike’s nightmares have worsened, almost tailor made to his worst fears and strangely focused on the night that the Upside Down was defeated. Meanwhile, Will’s flashbacks to the Upside Down, although never really going away, have become more frequent. So, their problem is: What is going on with the Upside Down? And are their nightmares real, or is it only a dream?

Summary
Mike Wheeler knows the middle of the end of the world is not the best time to have a sexuality crisis. Especially not when he stupidly joins the group doing a sweep of the high school that ends up getting locked in for the weekend. And, of course, Will Byers, the cause of this crisis, is also a part of said group.
Now there's nothing stopping him from being forced to come face to face with his feelings.
But hey, when you’re looking for answers, there’s no better place to be stuck.
And if the books aren’t enough, Mike might be stuck with just the right people to help him figure it out. Or at least help him accept it.
