Summary
Megumi can no longer sleep alone. The darkness that comes with the shift from evening to night makes him nauseous, especially if he’s on his own.
His first night back on campus has quickly turned into a disaster. His room, blackened by shadows that turned the walls to ink, felt far too familiar for his taste; a pitch-black void of nothingness to surround him as he remained confined inside his own body.
Itadori found him collapsed on his bedroom floor, trembling.
“I know, I know,” he murmured as he ran a comforting hand down Megumi’s back. “He always makes it too dark.”

“Not nearly enough.”
And so it begins. Again, and again, and again. Ad infinitum. She is on top of him and he is on top of her and garments are coming off—first, his shirt, then that saintly lace piece dangling from her ankle—and they become tangled into one, arms and legs knotted as they attempt to find any sort of sense in the mess they’ve started. Torsos cavorting and lips smacking like slaps. Groins striking like kitchen matches. Fingers dancing, searching for a trigger to end this struggle. It will only take a night.
Twilight returns home after a week-long mission.

Megumi pushes his beer glass, laden with foam, to the center of the table. Yuji’s lips turn down, but his eyes are alight with sudden humor. They flick to the far wall of the bar, as if deciding whether or not to share the private joke.
Megumi rolls his eyes. “Spit it out.”
Yuji leans forward, putting his chin in his hand and leveling a conspiratorial gaze at Megumi. “Hopefully,” he grins, “you?”
