“It’s been…a while,” Kai admits. “I asked him about it in the beginning. But he got upset with me. I think he’s still angry—he won’t talk to me anymore.”
”How long? How long exactly?”
Kai looks away. Beomgyu tries not to sound angry as he urges, “Kai. Tell me, please."

Summary
A marine researcher comes home from an expedition with more questions than answers, and something he absolutely cannot explain.
