Summary
The Death Painting finally stirs, its cursed energy rippling and its brows furrowing.
“We have company,” Satoru says mildly. “I did say you missed one.”
Yuuji peers hazily up at him. His expression holds neither confusion nor comprehension, only soul-deep exhaustion. Despite that, he turns his head toward the Death Painting.
“That’s my brother,” Yuuji mumbles.
Satoru blinks very slowly, a gesture that’s wasted on the boy still staring at the Death Painting with those tired, tired eyes. “Yuuji, that’s a curse.”
“Half,” Yuuji says. “Or…a third? A third. Two-thirds human.”
“You’re an only child.”
Yuuji makes a noncommittal noise. “Thought so too. Didn’t believe him at first. But I dream, sometimes.”
Satoru takes Yuuji’s face between both of his hands and turns it toward him. Yuuji comes easily, blinking up at Satoru with those big, brown eyes.
“Yuuji,” Satoru says slowly and clearly, “you’re not making any sense.”
A time loop locks Yuuji into the day of the Shibuya Incident. Satoru bears witness to the aftermath.

Okkotsu’s silent for a long moment. Then—
“I got a little wet,” he says sheepishly. “It was very embarrassing. Distracting too, which was pretty dangerous. That was the most complicated use of reverse cursed technique I’d ever attempted, and for a moment there, I was focused on all the wrong things.” Okkotsu chuckles, shaking his head as if judging his own past self. “If you’d died because of something like that, I think Gojou-sensei would have killed me when he got out.”
Yuuji opens his mouth, and all that comes out is a weak, wavering, “S-senpai?”
“Oh, I’m sorry, Itadori-kun,” Okkotsu says, looking over at Yuuji. “Am I making you uncomfortable?”
Uncomfortable isn’t how he’d put it.
Yuuji smells like a slaughterhouse. In all his life, there’s been exactly one person who liked it. It’s hard to wrap his mind around the possibility of that number doubling.
“Are you?” he hears himself ask. “Wet. Right now.”
Before heading out to tackle the Culling Game, Yuuta seeks Yuuji out for some one-to-one bonding.
