Summary
Mo Ran touches a weird Rice Cake Spirit, and it ends in him and Taxian-jun being separated. Suddenly in two bodies again, both of them are rather happy, given that they now get to spend equal time with their husband (and can torture him in exciting and creative new ways).
...Except Taxian-jun doesn't actually think that he likes this a lot. And that, even worse, he likes Mo Ran, somehow. How in the actual fuck is he meant to casually bring up that not only does he want to become one again, but that he also wants Mo Ran to fuck him?

“San Lang. My beloved. To me, it doesn’t matter if you’re a child or a king. An untouchable supreme or a silent ghost fire. Whether you’ve fallen in the mud or are exalted in the heavens, I love you. I will always love you.”
Feeling him tense, Xie Lian sits up, eyes full of concern. “San Lang? Does it still hurt? Should I stop?”
“No, gege.” Hua Cheng winds both his arms around Xie Lian’s waist, resting his head on his chest to hear his beating heart. “No. It’s better. Don’t stop.”
He laughs, feeling tears stream from his left eye. The stabbing pain in his head eases, as if he’s crying out some poison.
“I feel the same way. I love you.” The words give him something else to hold to, so he says them again. “Gege, I love you.”
Xie Lian’s anxious hands come to rest in his hair, soothing as he does for Ruoye. He hums, maybe without realizing it, running his hands up and down Hua Cheng’s back, and shifts a little, clearing his throat.
“Some things need to be said clearly. San Lang, you understand I mean all of you, don’t you? Even the pieces you don’t like. Even the parts that hurt, or are tired, or want things that you won’t ask for.”
He kisses the crown of Hua Cheng’s head, softening his words.
“I think, when you came back, you left something behind. I think you’ve fighting since then to keep those pieces hidden. San Lang, there’s nothing you have to hide from me. I want to see all of it.”
He quiets, allowing him time to process all this. If he feels the tears soak through his bloodstained robes, or if Hua Cheng trembles under his palms, he is too kind to call attention to it.
