    Eddie wasn't sure what this odd feeling in his chest was. There was a strange weight in every breath he took, like something was slowly wrapping around his lungs and squeezing it tighter and tighter. He took another sip of his beer. It felt like he was gulping ash. Across the bar Buck was laughing with a beautiful brunette. Eddie wasn't sure why he was so fixated on that point. Surely, that wasn't why his lungs felt like stone or why his beer tasted like regret. Besides the heaviness in his chest, there was something else. Something he couldn't quite understand. It felt like his ribs were caving in on themselves. Like they'd rip his heart out.

    Buck turns and smiles at him. “Oh please. You were the one who found her.”

    Walking over and pressing Buck against the tiled wall, bringing their faces close enough for their lips to brush, Eddie murmurs, “And you carried her out just in time,” before wrapping his arms around his partners neck and drawing him into a lingering kiss.

    Making a soft noise against Eddie’s lips, Buck buries a hand in his dark, wet hair, and whispers, “This is probably a bad idea,” before gripping Eddie’s perfect ass with his free hand and squeezing hard.
