Qiao Ling's face pulls together like she's just bitten into a lemon, and doesn't let up even when he launches a glove that hits her square in the face. It drops to the floor with a soft plap.
"Come on." he prods, deliberately pulling his voice high into a whine. Something familiar, something to bait her back into herself. "We've dealt with so much worse. Hell, half the chemicals in the red room are probably infinitely more likely to give us turbo-cancer or something. You ever read the labels on those things? Between the developer, fixer and stop bath it's a miracle we're still breathing."
