Summary
Levi couldn't see him anymore, but that was alright. There was a brief moment when he could. When those tired eyes of dull grey locked with his own in the clearing smoke, Erwin knew Levi saw him, knew Levi heard his beseeching to live. He laid his first flowers that night: rue pressed atop Levi's right eye, delicate marigolds atop his thin knuckles, and a nest of chamomile all woven through his ribs.

Summary
“I had wondered—” Erwin coughs again, and is cowed into lowering his gaze when the Captain looks at him. He has the most scrutinising of stares. Erwin isn’t sure if he can see out of his left eye, but in that moment, it could well be penetrating his heart. “Ah, that is. In your letter, you didn’t mention much. Of what you expected from me during this session.”
The Captain takes so long to answer, that Erwin begins to think he does not feel inclined to say anything at all. He finishes his tea, and returns his cup to the tray. “What does your job usually entail?”
“Usually? Well, I might accompany a client to an event, or have dinner with them, or simply keep them company.”
“Do you have sex with them?”
“Yes.” Erwin swallows.

Summary
It was funny. No matter how many times Erwin saw him play, it always felt like the first. Family sitcoms and high school dramas and surly, PR nightmare interviews and radio single after radio single after can’t-play-it-on-the-radio single didn’t come even remotely close to the religious experience that was seeing Levi Ackerman play live.

The only space he does so is a space of a threshold. It does not feel good or bad. It does not feel happy or sad. Levi realises now, however, that this is not the same as it feeling nothing."
