Summary
Rozanov adjusted his towel, and Shane’s eyes were drawn to the motion like magnets.
“Well, if I come to 1410 tonight at nine o’clock…” Rozanov said casually, leaving the question open.
“I might open,” Shane responded. He shouldn’t have entertained this conversation at all, he knew. He knew how dangerous this could be, for so many reasons and for both of them. But he also wanted, so, so badly. He wanted to be touched, he wanted to feel good, and he wanted Rozanov to be the one to give that to him. He wanted Rozanov.
Rozanov nodded, like this was the expected response, and shrugged casually. “I might knock,” he said, then walked away to his own locker where his things were stashed.

Summary
It was clear by the tone of Shane’s voice that he was not doing well, he was panicking and he was begging for Ilya to fix it and he wished for nothing more than to catch the next flight to Montreal and hold Shane in his arms and fucking fix it but he knew that was impossible.
Or, Shane navigates being a transgender professional athlete and Ilya is by his side every step of the way.
