Summary
“Aw, c’mon!” Stiles said. “I mean, really, a Hogwarts student somehow gets bitten by a werewolf and goes full-on feral wolfman and now spends his days snacking on wayward students? Don’t get me wrong, it makes for a great campfire tale, but—”
“You do know it’s not a legend, right?” Allison cut in.
“‘Course it is,” Scott said, confused. “We all heard it as first years. It’s tradition to scare the little kids with it. Don’t they tell it down in the Slytherin dorms too?”
Allison rolled her eyes. “Sure they do, but that’s not what I meant,” she said. “I mean, it’s not just a scary story. It’s true. It wasn’t exactly the way the story gets told,” she allowed, “but he really is out there.”

Summary
Derek has a new neighbor who won't stop looking.
Excerpt:
“You’re blind,” Derek said flatly, the anger draining from him so suddenly he felt almost woozy. His vision cleared, his claws sliding back into blunt fingernails.
“Thanks for the memo, genius,” the kid said acidly. “I can still fucking defend myself, so don’t take another damn step.”
“Fuck, I...I’m sorry,” Derek stuttered.
“What?!” The kid’s brow crinkled. “I mean — what?! You’re fucking sorry!?” His lips thinned into a harsh line. “What, is this some kinda Hallmark movie where you’re discovering the error of your ways because you don’t want to rob a blind person?! That’s fucking condescending, man. I’ll have you know that —”
“Just, wait.” Derek interrupted what was apparently the start of a convincing argument as to why he should rob the kid after all, feeling his head start to spin. “This is — it’s a misunderstanding. I’m — I’m not robbing you. You’re — you’re safe, okay? I’m taking three steps back. Just — just let me explain.”
“Explain why you came busting into my apartment? Yeah, go right ahead, man, I can’t wait to hear this epic tale.”

January 21, 2021: This series began as a reaction to the 2016 election, and so as the nation begins to claw its way forward from the devastation that ensued, I am now, at least as a symbol, marking this series complete. I suspect I will add to it a little here and there, but probably less often.
God, I hope less often.

Summary
"Pick a side, and start packing. Transport leaves in thirty," Chuck told him, pointing a finger in warning. Raleigh really couldn't take him seriously though, since he was delicately wrapping Mako's tiny collection of tea cups in bits of newspaper while he said it.
"Transport?" On the table, Chuck's mp3 player was rigged to a pair of speakers and a women was prompting him to get ready to die.
"Chuck suggested we leave. I agreed," Mako explained. Raleigh could point out the sheer improbability of just packing up and leaving. They had the most recognizable faces on the planet. Between the three of them, they had enough popularity to bedazzle a small European nation.
"Where are we going?"
"Where every solider goes when the war's over," Chuck replied. "Home."

Summary
Raleigh Becket used to be the up-and-coming chef to beat in the competitive cooking show world. Then, after beating four Iron Chefs in a row, he disappeared, and everyone forgot about him.
Five years and four months later, he signs up for a new cooking show, The Cutting Board, because he and Yancy desperately need the money. The problem? The show's executives think to improve ratings by forcing him to pretend to be the gay ex-lover of current cooking wunderkind, Chuck Hansen, arrogant jerk extraordinaire.
Insert all cooking metaphors you like. They'll probably apply.

Summary
So he’d been having more nightmares, and he’d tried to medicate with alcohol. It had happened before, but this time Bossuet and Musichetta weren’t content with promises and placations, and in truth, neither was Grantaire. It had been almost twenty years since he’d left the village. Was he supposed to live like this for the rest of his life, haunted by a place he could hardly remember?
Once he’d decided, the others wouldn’t let him change his mind. They changed direction at the next crossroads and started heading east, heading for Carentan.
In an effort to confront the source of his nightmares, Grantaire returns to his childhood village in order to burn down his father's old house and get some closure. When he arrives, he discovers that in order to do that he'll have to provide a new home for the family now living there, and though he can afford the expense, he has to lodge with the mayor's son, Enjolras, while he waits for building to be completed.
