“Lucanis!” Rook yells out of fear and desperation. He’s unmoving, laying face down on the ground. She wastes no time in running to get to him, to see if he’s alive. But, her form freezes in place with hand outstretched, just as she was beginning to kneel. Her face is set in a frown, eyebrows drawn together in concern, eyes intense but completely still. While frozen in place, the color of her hair, her skin, her armor, all bleeds away. What once was the lively visage of Rook, the leader of the Veil Guard, is now just a gray and ashen form that just…fades away into light particles of dust.
