Which would have been a sight of novelty...
If it wasn't for the fact that he was also the man who took her virginity on the the night of a masquerade ball in college.

Alina Starkov believed the Saints were punishing her. They had to have been, to make her not only a Grisha, but an immortal one, in a time when Grisha no longer existed. The world was supposed to maintain balance but after the death of the last Shadow Summoner, balance was forever shifted. Alina knew this. So, she knew she would forever be alone, unbalanced.
After a night out celebrating her hard earned tenure as a Professor of History at Os Alta University with her friends, she wakes up still in her party clothes and high heels alone in a forest with the worst hangover. When she stumbles across a tall dark haired man with the most beautiful grey eyes and shadows swirling around him, Alina wonders if she's stepped into her very own Grisha fairytale?
