Summary
Shane is in his first Season with the Ottawa Centaurs and Harris asks him to do a Q&A video for the fans to open up to them a bit now he's out and proud. It's chaotic, mainly because Ilya is sitting off screen making silly comments and Shane wants to end him. This is the transcript and subsequent comments of that video.
Or: 'Hi, I'm Shane Hollander and this, is 'Ask Me Anything'.

Summary
A fiery plane crash claims Ilya Rozanov’s life in January. By April, Shane Hollander is dead of a broken heart. The truth dies with them.
Yuna Hollander will do anything to get her son back, including hiring a shady shaman to resurrect him. There’s just one complication — Shane isn’t coming back alone.
Now there are codependent (not)zombies in her house wearing Ilya and Shane’s faces. When they inexplicably act more like a married couple than the bitter rivals she expected, Yuna is convinced that they came back wrong.
It’s easier than admitting she never understood them from the start.

Bookmarker's Notes
“A terrible tragedy,” Miko rumbles. She strokes one spindly finger across Shane’s palm. Yuna only understands half the words from her thick dialect. “You were not supposed to be separated. How sad. You must have gone looking for him.”
---
Miko’s eyes open. Her sclera are gray and frosted over, completely unseeing, yet she meets Yuna’s wrecked gaze. “I cannot bring him back alone.”What the hell does that mean?
“But you – you can bring him back? If you need more helpers, I can make calls. I’ll pay whoever you need. I promise.”
Hope is dangerous. Volatile. If Yuna climbs up on her hope and it doesn’t lead anywhere, she’ll surely die from the fall.
Miko clicks her tongue. “He is not alone. There is another soul tied so tightly to him that they will not separate. Not again.”
---
David tells baby stories about Shane that gets Rozanov’s eyes watery too, and they both start crying for real when David unearths an old photo album.“Oh, мой крошка, look at those squishy cheeks! You were fifteen minutes old!” Rozanov blubbers. He’s hanging onto David’s arm as they turn the pages.
Shane rolls his eyes. “I was literally eight.”
“You were just born,” David agrees tearily.
“Dad. I was learning long division.”
---
“Mom!” Shane shouts. He’s surgically removed himself from Ilya’s neck for the occasion, and he’s trying to make eye contact – aiming just down and to the left at her cheekbone, which is how she knows it’s serious.Shane, her sweet, accommodating Shane, who sometimes digs in his heels when he gets overwhelmed but ultimately softens for her at the end of the day, stays rigid.
Yuna’s furious typing stutters. Shane always thought it was witchcraft. She’s always been painfully, painfully, human.
---
When she gathers the courage to face him, what she finds isn’t revulsion or disappointment. Rather, Shane is smiling. “You keep asking if I’ve changed. But what about you?”“What? I’m still me. I’m still your mother.” A kernel of indignance lodges in her throat. “I think I’ve always had an impulsive streak. I was just never desperate enough to act on it. I guess…it’s hard to be unchanged by grief.”
“Love, too.” Shane cranes his head back, casting his gaze across the backyard to where Ilya is watching over them with arms folded against the patio railing. He lights up under Shane’s attention, waving enthusiastically. They wave back.
Shane turns back to her with a twinkle in his eyes. “It’s not such a bad thing, I’ve discovered. To love enough to be changed by it. To be a little different.”
It comes in flashes: Ruddy-cheeked toddler Shane who delayed speaking for so long they worried about hearing problems. Teen hockey phenomenon Shane, rising above the crowd for both his genes and his talent. Shane rebirthed, sobbing into Ilya’s neck in the same bed that had carried his corpse, refusing to deny himself for a second longer.
Shane in a Centaurs jersey, kissing Ilya at the altar. Happy, breathing, and in love.
Changed by it. Freed by it.
Alive because of it.
“No,” Yuna agrees as she swipes away the tears spilling down her cheeks. “It’s not bad at all.”

Summary
“Just one more question, Mr. Rozanov.”
“How were you able to stay focused tonight after learning of your father's passing?”
Ilya stood frozen, eyes glued to the camera. Jaw locked. On the screen, his chest barely moved, each breath turning dangerously shallow.
Shane didn't realize what he was doing until he was already shoving the heavy conference room doors open.
Or: Ilya Rozanov learns of his father's death during a live press conference and has a panic attack. Shane goes to him. In front of everyone.
