Summary
A blur explodes from the undergrowth.
Shane barely has time to register movement before something slams into him hard, the impact driving all the air from his lungs. The world flips sideways, the ground rushing up to meet him, and he grunts when he lands, pain erupting from his shoulder. Dirt and debris fly, getting into his eyes, and Shane hisses at the pain, shaking his head violently.
Something massive lands on top of him. Shane's first thought is 'Holy shit, it's a bear.' The bear that killed the moose has followed him, has decided Shane is its next victim, and he opens his burning eyes to blurrily look at the animal on top of him.
It's not a bear.

Rozanov shouts angrily and grabs him by the shoulders, slamming him into the ground. Stay down. Shane is winded by the impact but immediately bucks his body in an attempt to throw Rozanov off of him. Stay where I put you. Rozanov’s fist flies into his stomach, then his chin, making Shane drop flat underneath him. Be good.
Shane sinks into the dirt like a dead man, like a bird, like a bone, the pretty thing between Rozanov’s teeth that makes his snarling spit turn soft pink in the light. It’s horrible. It’s nirvana.
Shane runs for his life. Ilya follows close behind.

Shane’s whole body reacts before he can stop it. His instinct is to arch up, to follow the cruel drag of Ilya’s fingers, but Luca’s weight pins him down and holds him there. It leaves Shane caught between two forces, Ilya pulling and Luca pressing him into the couch.
There are so many kinds of pain Ilya likes giving Shane. The sting of a cane, the heavy impact of a paddle. Wax, rope, violet wand, knife. He likes the tools. He likes the ritual of choosing them, of deciding exactly what Shane needs and how he is going to give it to him.
But today, Ilya’s implement is Luca.
Ilya pulls Shane’s nipple higher and higher, until the pebbled brown skin goes taut and the pain flashing in Shane’s eyes starts fighting with pleasure, when Shane realizes there’s nothing for him to do but take it until Ilya decides to release him.
