As the three head back over to the booth, laughing loudly with each other, the other man's handsome face unveils itself to Hao, the bright grin and the smiling, crinkled eyes directed at Ricky and Gyuvin creeping into the light, and Hao is back at LAX, staring into those same, exact, smiling eyes that haven’t left his mind all night.
It’s Sung fucking Hanbin.

Summary
This is so embarrassing, Hao thinks miserably as his grin fades. After all, he only exchanged about thirty words with the most handsome man he’s ever seen. It’s really nothing to call home about.
Oh, but that SMILE.
Hao pulls his comforter over him, and as thoughts continue to float around in his head, he drifts off to a comfortable sleep, thinking and dreaming of waffles, smiles, and men.
in which hao can't sleep and stumbles across the finest man he's ever seen at his local waffle house.

Summary
It started with a crashed laptop in a crowded cafe and a stranger with a devastating smirk who refused to let Euijoo apologize his way out of a date.
Six months later, Euijoo is still worried about being too heavy, too tall, and too much. Nicholas, however, has a very physical way of proving him wrong.

Summary
Something shifts, then. Inside of Euijoo. Around him. The entire world shifts, suddenly feeling so off-kilter that he feels slightly dizzy with it. Like it’s suddenly spinning on an axis that doesn’t exist.
No. This isn’t happening. This can’t be happening, because Euijoo has already seen that picture, 24 hours ago. He stared at it yesterday morning, while he was still fuzzy with sleep, feeling giddy over the slightly exposed skin. It’s not possible that he only just posted it, a mere two hours ago. Did he delete it, just to post it again? Maybe the engagement wasn’t as good as they had hoped, deciding to post it on a Saturday, instead?
Just as he’s about to click into the comments, to see if anyone is saying anything about the apparent repost, a notification comes through at the top of his screen.

Summary
“So is the attitude problem just a figure skater thing, then?”
Taki stiffens, his blades wobbling as he stops to look over his shoulder. “Excuse me?”
Maki’s holding his stare. He’s got long lashes, and Taki’s starting to think good things really do happen to jerk people. “Would it kill you to lighten up? We don’t wanna be here either.”
-
Out of all the challenges he faces as figure skater, Taki would humbly put being forced to share a rink with the local hockey club at the very top of the list. Particularly the team’s new defender, a rough and tumble boy with distracting dimples and a smart mouth.
Who also manages to bowl Taki over on the very first day.
(or: taki is a figure skater with something to prove to himself. maki is a hockey player with something to prove to everyone else. they collide. literally.)

Summary
Euijoo peels the wax off with his thumb nail, flicking the envelope open and tossing it onto the kitchen table with the rest of his junk mail. The contents are just as fancy as the envelope itself. Thick cardstock and handwritten calligraphy with sharp ink. Taunting him.
The honor of your company is requested at the marriage of Koga Yudai and Murata Fuma.
(OR: Euijoo asks his childhood crush to pretend to be his new boyfriend at his ex-boyfriend’s wedding. Nicholas says yes.)

Summary
”Do you want to have a drink with me?”
There are a million reasons why Euijoo should say no. He hasn’t seen Nicholas in eight years. Who knows how much they both have changed? Euijoo certainly isn’t the same eighteen-year-old who left Japan, and he doesn’t know who Nicholas is anymore. This could end so poorly. It’s only in recent years that he has managed to lacquer his broken edges back together again, and yet here he is, going willingly into the waiting arms of the person who shattered him.
“Sure. One drink,” he agrees.
euijoo and nicholas broke up eight years ago. on new year’s eve in their hometown, they reconnect.
