"A Rampant Alpha is a unique subtype of Alpha that exhibits intense fits of violence and anger during their rut period, along with the heightened sexual desires. They may exhibit unpredictable behavior, including aggression, particularly at other Alphas and Betas. With Omegas, their violence may manifest in sexually coercive behavior and even the disregard for consent. Outside of their rut, they can be mild tempered and kind individuals.”Thorin always thought the term didn’t define who he was, that it didn’t matter since his ruts were medically under control.
That was until Thranduil forcefully incited his rut and he was chained in a prison cell with Bilbo.

It is probably hours before the peace is shattered by the sound of a tool dropped elsewhere in the hall, the metallic sound ringing and echoing against the stone walls. In an instant, the haze around him breaks, and the motion of his hand stutters to a stop. He blinks repeatedly, his eyes clearing, and the stonework in front of him begins to truly come into focus for the first time tonight.
Let it never be said that Thorin Oakenshield is a stupid man.
For all that it has taken him this long to understand, there is no denying the evidence that now sits before his eyes, and there is no arguing with the truth of the stone that rests atop the workbench, features without detail but clear in form.
The child that sits before him, waiting to be completed.
Oh, Thorin thinks. Oh.
Or: your classic "hobbits can grow children in their gardens" trope, only this time it's dwarves who can carve children out of stone.

Summary
So it went: the mountain was reclaimed, and the kingdom was reborn in war.
There were elves, dwarves, men, horses, orcs, wargs, running, fighting, yelling, dying. Bilbo, too, ran, but he had eyes for one thing and one thing only:Thorin.
And he found him, there, on Ravenhill, battling the great white orc, right where Bilbo knew and dreaded he would be. And as he dreaded, as he feared like he had never feared anything before, Thorin was struck down before his eyes, and Azog raised his blade for the killing blow.
Bilbo didn’t even have to think. He slipped off the ring, and he charged.

After the battle, all seems like it's ended better than anyone could possibly have hoped for. The company is alive, and Thorin and Bilbo are soon to be married. But all is not the happy ending it seems.

“It’s got such a presence to it, even from a distance,” Bilbo says softly, and there’s a general murmur of awed agreement from the others. “Why, in all my fifty years, I never thought I’d see such a thing, and we haven’t even arrived yet!”
Thorin’s sword hits the ground with a clatter, and Balin chokes on his pipe.
The hobbit doesn’t look at Thorin, too busy thumping Balin on the back. Once the dwarf seems able to breathe again, he looks up, to find thirteen wide pairs of eyes fixed on him.
“What?” he says defensively, though he’s not sure what he’s defending.
“You’re how old?” Kíli squeaks.
Bilbo frowns at the young dwarf. “I’m fifty years old. Well, fifty-one, come springtime. Though it is not very polite to ask someone their age so bluntly,” he tells him primly.
Fíli makes a choked sound, and Nori lets out a vicious string of swears in Khuzdul.

“You have a tiny Hobbit,” Fíli said, sounding astonished. “Why do you have a tiny Hobbit?” Kíli asked, his voice suspicious. “Did you get married?” asked Fíli, now sounding worried. “This is not good,” Kíli muttered, with twice the worry as Fíli. “Uncle, why are they staring at you?” Frodo asked, his voice confused.
Bilbo fled Erebor before his friends could be buried, before he had to see Thorin encased in stone. He returns to the Shire and settles into a life of unsociability and some amount of loneliness, but finds comfort in the figures of the children of Hobbiton.
After twenty years, however, his luck is gone, and Bilbo has to flee the Shire with Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin, and with four very young Hobbits, there is only one place he can turn to.Series

In an attempt to get the Arkenstone back for Thorin, Bilbo discovers the ring he's been using is the One Ring. Seized by a need to destroy gold, especially gold with the ability to ensnare creature and king alike, he sets out alone for Mordor. Anything to forget about the love that gold cost him.
What he doesn't know is that Thorin is no longer under the thrall of gold, and is desperately racing to catch up with him to keep him safe.
They may have just started on another adventure, but this one may not end as well as their first quest.
