It's always lingering, always there, suffocating him these past two days. Worse than any of his other physical injuries — worse than his broken leg, or his healing shoulder from its dislocation, or even his bruised and broken ribs.
It's the knowledge that he is missing no less than three years of his life.
After waking up from a car accident, it's not the injuries that are the hardest part to deal with. It's that somehow, in the three years Donghyuck has forgotten because of the amnesia, he's married no one other than Jaemin.

“I think I wanna date him,” Donghyuck said miserably.
There was a pause. He kind of expected Jaemin to laugh, but he didn’t. “Okay,” he said. “Let’s see what we can do to make it happen.”

Renjun doesn’t need some sweaty incel uploading his penchant for scrapbooking to the dark web. Due diligence takes him to the frustratingly vague FAQ, followed by the About Us. Bad habits result in him clicking on the Work With Us link. He never does make it back to the sign-up page.

But Donghyuck takes a deep breath in, wills himself to relax, then speaks. “I just feel that if we decide to go to those sorts of haunted, or supernatural locations, it’s like we’re asking to get possessed. Or cursed. Or something worse. Have you guys even seen The Conjuring, or the twenty following films? Who knows what’ll happen if we go messing with freak shit. I don’t think it’s a good idea.”
Jaemin, who has not bothered to be a part of their conversation before because he has more of a show up on the day sort of attitude towards their YouTube channel, clucks his tongue from the other side of their shared couch. “Wait a minute,” he drawls, a sickeningly sweet smile taking over his pretty features. “Is our little Duckie scared of ghosts?”
(Ghosts are pretty high up on Donghyuck’s list of fears. Jaemin just so happens to be higher.)
