Summary
Macaque is killed by a possessed Wukong during the battle against the Lady Bone Demon. He wakes up in a world and time not his own, with a Wukong who has never met a Macaque. Now stuck in this different universe, Macaque has to navigate his way through all the strange differences and a Wukong who is far too fascinated with not being the only one of his kind.
Or-
I chew up then spit out LMK Macaque into the actual JTTW world. Not back in time before Wukong killed him but in the actual novel (sorta). Won’t be entirely accurate to JTTW but I wanted a fic where the LMK characters interact with their JTTW counterparts for a long time now.

Wukong cant help getting SMITTEN with Macaque. Like "holy shit hes so cute and cool i wanna marry him" kind of smitten.Ch6 - Wukong gives Macaque new clothes, one that match his of course! hes also very thoughtful. who would've thought?
Ch7 - Your honour, the pilgrims pissed in a bowl. Mac is also the cutest kitten ever. His powers are stupidly weak too (worrying.) ALSO! the king has exclaimed a competition between the immortal daoists and the pilgrims. cant wait to see wukong cut off his head.

When circumstances lead to Wukong and Sandy falling into bed together, Wukong finds he likes it more than he'd thought. Their ensuing "relationship" has Wukong confronting his usual habits for sex in ways he's not quite ready to face.

Macaque didn’t know how to feel about Azure Lion. On the surface, he was what a leader should be: chivalrous, courageous, kind, and loyal to those that follow him. He commanded such a voice that everyone in the room turned to listen.
If only he knew his true intentions.

“ So…” Tang starts, clearing his throat to try and clear the air, “What else have you been up to recently, Macaque? It’s been a little while, have you been busy?”
What have I been up to? Well, sleeping and jacking off all day, he doesn’t say, and fantasising like a romcom lead, of course. How about you?
“Just… the usual,” Macaque mumbles into the countertop.
Or, In his four thousand years of living, Macaque still hasn't learned how to deal with his heats. Wukong isn't any better. They figure it out together.
