It was like the entire student body had silently agreed that they wouldn’t steal the spotlight from the one man who everyone knew was suffering the most.

Summary
Sure, he hadn’t seen Suna in months, but after Atsumu, Suna was still the person he’d stayed in closest contact with after graduation. They texted pretty much every day, even if most of the messages were just Suna sharing memes.
That was about as much as one could expect from an old high school friend after graduation. And in the end, that was all Suna was to him.
Even if Osamu had always hoped they could be something more.

But other things were the same, like Suna having to walk between the twins after Gin left because they couldn’t be trusted to not get in a fight during the short walk otherwise, or the way Atsumu did most of the talking since Osamu was more preoccupied with his dinner plans and Suna wasn’t even really listening to what he was saying, more focused on the way Osamu’s and his elbows were brushing, and the warmth the small touches sent through his entire body.
There was barely any space between their hands. It would be so easy to close the distance, press their palms together and link their fingers.
Suna pines. That's pretty much it.

there are seas and mountains that separate us from each other. maybe the sun is rising in where you are and maybe a thunderstorm is raging in where i am. its hard to be under the same sky as someone you love but still be miles away from each other. i don't think its enough to be only looking at the same stars as you, i want to remember how it feels to be under the same roof, lying by your side, comforted by the same blanket enveloping us in its warmth.
