For his spring break this year Cat was taking Carter with her to London. She had a business meeting the first day, but the rest of their trip would be spent visiting historical landmarks and exploring the city. As Kara was the only person outside of his family Carter trusted to care for his dog, Cat had asked—demanded—that Kara housesit while they were gone. Kara, excellent at following Cat’s orders, had readily agreed, eager to help and also to spend time with Ellie.

Rhaenyra breathes hard at the proximity. Steps even closer. She does not know why, but she wants to. Craves it. Her usual stony restraint and goading spitefulness when dealing with a furious, self-righteous Queen Alicent having slipped away, leaving only the gnawing want underneath. A feeling that she has rarely acknowledged over these last years though it has been there all along. She feels its force course through her fiercely, unchallenged for the first time in a long time.
“You still wish to reconcile with me?” Rhaenyra whispers in astonishment.
Alicent squeezes her eyes shut, exhales shakily, but she does not move away.
“That is not- do you not see- Oh, Seven Hells.” Alicent lets out a groan of vexation and then lurches forward capturing Rhaenyra’s lips in a bruising kiss.

Vi throws an arm around Caitlyn’s shoulders, pulling her in until their faces are only inches apart. She flashes a suggestive grin, “I wouldn't even think of doing anything less than the best for you, cupcake.”
When Caitlyn pauses, Vi worries for a moment that maybe she was too obvious.
But then Caitlyn chuckles, it's low and inviting, reaching her hand up to cup Vi’s jaw, pulling them even closer. They’re nose to nose and everything about Caitlyn is overwhelming her senses. The melodic sound of her laugh. The gleam in her eyes that makes Vi feel transparent. The tingling sensation in Vi’s jaw that stroking fingers leave in their wake. The smell of old books and the coffee she just drank.
Would she taste like that too?
“Of course, I know how eager you are to please, darling” Caitlyn coos at her. She strokes her thumb lovingly across Vi’s jaw again.
