Nat gapes, mouth fully hanging open in almost comical shock and disbelief. Or at least, it would be comical anyway, if it weren’t completely fucking justified.
“Let me get this straight. You want me to…”
Nat trails off, unable to even finish the thought, apparently. Instead, she points, finger hovering accusingly in front of Van’s nose-
“With Van?!”
Or: Nat's going into heat, as much as she really fucking wishes that were not the case. Fortunately, Tai has a plan. Unfortunately, Van and Nat would both rather die... but that's just too bad.

Everyone struggles to adapt, but there’s no denying some have it worse than others. Van (and Tai) do their best to do right by Nat, before an incident upsets the delicate balance they’ve forged in their new roles.
