That shouldn't make her cry harder but it did. Trinity knew they would protect her and fight for her. Hearing it said aloud just hit differently. She shouldn't feel this safe with these two men, with this dysfunctional family they had built. But she did. Safe enough that she knew she would spend at least the night in the guest room. Safe enough to let them see her tears. Safe enough to let Robby and Jack hold her.
“You are safe. You are loved. We got you.” Robby shifted her closer to his chest, letting her rest against him. The fact that she had come to trust them enough to come to them when she was struggling was huge.
