Summary
After the blood washes away what's left, Will Graham sets to find a new home for himself faraway from Wolf Trap. A process that's only made more difficult by a 'come & go' Hannibal Lecter who can never stay until he shakes the FBI off his trail. Except when he finally does, there seems to be other factors that threaten to steal the peace from their life.
New friends are made, new pets are adopted and along the way, they realise how much they've influenced each other.

'I don't have a druid name. It's just the name the druids call me.' Merlin scowled, no doubt hearing how foolish he sounded. His ears were red – embarrassed, not angry, if Arthur had to guess – and there was a faintly mulish slant to his expression.
'That's nice of them to pray for you,' Gwaine said cheerfully, taking the rock from Arthur's grasp. 'Asking the gods to give you patience to help you deal with the Princess here, no doubt.' He elbowed Arthur in the ribs, grinning as he scowled in response.
When riding out to warn a druid camp of an imminent attack from Uther, Arthur and his knights discover that Merlin is far more than just a sorcerer. Does he have the strength to save one of the Old Gods, or will he perish in the effort?

Shane was the sum of his parent’s parts, yet entirely his own, and Ilya was very grateful to the tender, yet firm, hands that had shaped the man he loved. “Yes,” Merlin says. “But after that, too, since I’m not like, 100% positive that he’s going to know what a fish ladder is. I figure we’ve got to do some work on that and probably his English before we let him go off into the wild.”
“Right. Obviously, the English. But what happens if someone tries to put another body in the lake while you’re here?”
Merlin doesn’t have an answer to that.
(Three women's bodies are dumped into a lake, and detective Gwaine Morgan is assigned the case. He does not anticipate said lake to be guarded by a local 12 year-old and is even less prepared for what happens when the 12 year-old becomes his murderer's next target.)
