“I can't,” Madara replies, a little huffy. “With my reflexes, I’d kill anyone who tried.”
“Hmmm.” Sake mostly gone now, Hashirama taps his lip with the bottle’s mouth, tongue darting to lap remaining moisture from it. “Well,” he suggests, gesticulating reasonably—if a little clumsily—with his hand, “You can't kill me.”

It is said with zero hesitation. Hashirama sighs. Well, at least he knows where they stand.
“Will you kill me,” he poses, reasonably, “If I touch you?”
“Nghh.” Madara convulses around another wave of cramps, and he grits out, “I'd kill you—if you didn't.”

Madara has massacred his way through his attempted kidnappers, but not without getting dosed with heat inducers. Slightly panicked and way out of his depth, Hashirama helps. -

The boy has yet to notice Zixuan glaring fiercely at him from where he's standing a little way off, apparently too preoccupied with Zixuan’s dog- his dog!- who in all the time he has had him has never left his side in favour of cozying up to a complete stranger, of either common or noble birth, and has never so enthusiastically greeted anyone but Zixuan himself since his days as a young pup.
A small smile crosses the boy’s face as he murmurs something too soft for Zixuan to make out his words and scrounges up the confidence- the disrespect- to run his fingers through the thick dark grey fur along Junjie’s spine, thin cheeks showing hints of dimples.
Zixuan snaps out of his incredulous stupor, deciding enough is enough: how dare this commoner boy put his grubby hands on his lovely Junjie?
