Yeosang slides a hand around Yunho’s forearm. “Woo, we’re just worried. If something is going on, we need to know.”
“It’s not that easy.” A tear slides down his cheek. As soon as he feels it, he wipes it away with his shirt sleeve. “I wish it were that easy.”

Wooyoung felt it before he even heard it. Suddenly, the guy –Wooyoung couldn’t remember his name, but was not really sorry about it– pulled himself far back on the bench, as if repelled by Wooyoung. But he knew it wasn’t him he was cowering from.

How no longer matters. It likely wouldn’t make sense, anyway, even if someone did explain. How is pointless. It’s happened, and he’s stuck in this world, this timeline, and there’s nothing he can do about it. San wants to know Why.
As the sun begins to set, the sky explodes into a watercolor painting with the contrast turned all the way up. Vermilion bleeds into magenta and at least three different shades of orange. The clouds burst, shadowed against the colors with sharp edges. San has never seen anything like it.
“I can only think of one reason,” he says quietly, throat sore and voice raw. His lips are dry as he blows out a heavy breath. “What if it’s a second chance?”
