    What first drew me in was the intricate interactive design of this work. Every letter came with an authentic-looking address bar and lovely stamps （Shane consistently used Canadian landscape stamps, while Ilya was initially obsessed with all kinds of lizard stamps, lol）Watching the letter’s contents unfurl gradually as you opened the envelope’s cover was an absolutely magical experience.
    As the chapters unfolded and time passed within the story, information delivered through many other forms of media was woven in: postcards, emails, instant messaging apps and more. Every tiny detail built an incredibly immersive, tangible universe. I adored the email usernames hollowderloon24 and boringshane, their silly, endearing doodles, and how they used Snoopy and Woodstock to represent themselves. All these touches felt so charming and genuine that I could practically picture Shane and Ilya’s expressions and tone as they lived through each moment.

    Beyond the immersive design, the author’s storytelling and writing are brilliant; every line in the letters reads exactly as if the characters themselves had penned it. some plot points stuck with me most. The first was Shane coming out to Ilya. When I reached the final chapter and saw all the draft letters he’d written then discarded, I flipped back to reread the final version he’d sent. My heart ached — Shane tread so carefully, terrified that being honest would cost him Ilya, yet Ilya caught his confession gently and tenderly. It brought me close to tears.
    The second sweet, humorous moment was when Ilya sent Shane two loon plushies. In his signature gruff, teasing way, he wrote that he’d bought two loons for himself too, so Shane wouldn’t have to feel like the odd one out, the only person in the world with two loons. Beneath that brash demeanor lay the quiet promise of staying by Shane’s side. He also said their combined loons would form a wolf bird flock, his subtle, quirky way of hinting he wanted to meet Shane in person. Later, once they finally met, I laughed out loud at the chat photo showing all four loon plushies grouped together — it was utterly adorable!

    This story is filled with countless little details I revisit again and again. You’re such an incredible author, your prose and design craft are absolutely exquisite 🩷🩷🩷 Once more, you’re phenomenal

    This is so adorable. I always crack up at how Ilya uses emojis. The whole plot where Shane keeps coordinating with people to fill up the gift basket is such a clever, sweet touch—and every single item inside the basket ends up being something Ilya absolutely adores. It’s so romantic and thoughtful.
    Who wouldn’t want that gift basket? of course I can’t.
    btw can him actually put a signed copy of MLH15 by Hollander into a Raiders gift basket? I can’t even imagine how fans back then would’ve reacted😂lol（Anyway they finally caught on years later

    It’s absolutely fantastic!🫶😋The plot is gripping, tightly structured and utterly breathtaking. I love this story so much. The author’s attention to detail is wonderful and stays true to the original work, whether it’s Shane and Ilya or the key supporting characters from the Raiders team.

    I keep re-reading the chapters that dive into their inner struggles when Shane and Ilya fall prey to negative emotions amid changing circumstances. Those passages are deeply moving. The clashes that erupt from their wavering and doubts born out of overwhelming love are incredibly compelling.

    By the way, Anya is such an adorable pup — I’ve completely fallen for her 🥺 We love you, Anechka!

    The director called him again, and he shook his head, the photos blurring. Whatever. It would have to do.

    He clicked "select all," then the messages icon, then Rozanov's name. Hit send.
